Cut out some orange discs for carrots, as they will look the same (that is not a knock at your cooking) 
I would rather eat paper than cooked carrots.
The brandy is a different matter.

Second crisis, my brother's cystic fibrosis has just kicked off and we are currently waiting for the emergency doctor to ring us back. Looks like a trip to the emergency doc! |

I really hope it isn't something too serious, so that you can all get home in time to start to celebrate.
