Lovely Xmas but traumatic for me… I’m found out I am both “arsenal” old…. And “black” old… let me explain
Anyway went down to London for Xmas… went to various do’s and parties… noticed the really young kids were calling me “uncle” … and it wasn’t just my niece! I love the respect.. sort of … but fuck off!! My sister was killing herself laughing!!!
Then it grew to “plate etiquette” .. let uncle sit down, we will get him food…
Then several games of domino’s broke out.. and had to join in…
Then last straw at the football last night and got called an “old boy”…. Not funny!!! Lol that got a proper “fuck off!!”
So… when did you realise you were apparently old!  |

I realised I was old when I was about 24, having a conversation about music with my sister and she asked me "but what is a record player?"
Was downhill from there

fab old is 45+. Real world old is 60+. having done both I feel able to comment. either way, whichever 'old' you subscribe to does mean it's the end. Stay active, stay positive and you never really get 'old'. |

Age never bothered me but 55 in January and the last couple of months it really got me down which doesn't makes sense and fit and still here.
But it really playing on my mind for first time ever but logically makes no sence |

When I took my son to a uni open day in York, we went for some tea afterwards. The waitress gave him the bill so he might pay for his "girlfriend". She was mortified when she realised we are mother and son |

My Dad was always mistaken for my Grandad. I remember getting really cross with a person in the Early Learning Centre who asked if I was with my Grandad (I was about 7) |

I have known you for years and I didn’t realise you were that much younger than me! Lol….
In my day back at Highbury it was like we retired one of the old north bank boys to the lower east stand!! I feel that is what they did to me last night…

I think we’ll be well out of the title race by May, in fact I don’t think we’ll ever actually be in it but if we can keep up our form over the season it could be a massive game on the last day of the season. |

I know that I am old, I try not to think about it but watching a film about ww2 at the weekend my grandson came up with his old favourite "What did you do in the war Grandad"? I pretended that I did not hear him
Whether you are 45 or 85 age is just but a number, just ignore what people say about it and embrace what life sends your way. |
