Why are they so salted, almost inedible. Even the lightly salted ones have so much salt. I am not big on crisps but enjoy them every now and then but hate so much salt

Manchester (she/her)

I see it as portion control. Either that, or there's a masochistic delight in burning your mouth on salt and vinegar.

What illness makes food taste salty?

Post-nasal drip can result from a sinus infection, regular cold, or allergies making your mouth taste salty. Mucus overproduces and starts dripping at the back of the throat. Mixing up with saliva gives a metal-like taste in the mouth.

Pringles are the worst, it's especially noticeable if you don't eat crisps often.

Bring back the little blue twists of salt I say

Sorry, OP. I'm a bit of a salt fiend so it's palates like mine that are to blame. Bring me ALL the salt.

i don't take much salt normally and don't find crisps too salty...the Mackies ones can be stong but walkers or McCoys are usually ok for me.

Oversalted, for sure. Wa*kers ones always make me spotty. I always joke that they are made with axle grease. Unhealthy, and best avoided.
