Christmas can be a great time for lots of people but for many it’s a lonely and tough time. Half of it is the comparison with others who are having such a ‘wonderful’ time but please try to remember, it’s just another day.

Agree. Even being in company can feel lonely..depending on the circumstances.
Hope everyone who does feel lonely can think about making plans to meet new people, in whatever capacity that may be. |

Absolutely. Loneliness can come in many guises and being surrounded by people who don’t ‘see’ us is isolating in its own way. |

Definitely doesn't diminish anyone's worth. Everyone has different circumstances for many different reasons. Happy Christmas to all |

Thoughts go out to those who are alone and struggling, and also to those who even though they have family and friends around them, still feel alone and/or lonely. Not an easy time for many, just remember, you are not alone.

We’ve both felt alone in the past, one of us when truly alone and the other whilst in a toxic relationship. Loneliness is awful, it’s nothing to say hello as you past someone on the street as that might be the only contact that person has all day.
Merry Christmas all |

I’m alone pretty every Christmas. It’s entirely by choice – I prefer it to all the alternatives available to me. I hope everyone else in the same position can also find a way to enjoy their solitude. |

If you love someone, hold them close. If you love someone and they're not well hold them closer. If you've just lost somebody, then please join me in a group hug. |
