The Serpent was a fantastic gripping real life TV crime drama about Charles Sobhraj the French killer who murded probably dozens of backpackers in the 70 s. He is 78 and in poor health and the Gurkha's have ordered his release. It is not only the English that live in a compassionate country. What's going on here guys? |

Ha ha, oh Tom. Bless you.
Actually he's only got a year left to serve of his life sentence (20yrs). So would've been released in 2023 anyway.
Should he have stayed in prison? Personally, i say yes.
But i think that should be up to the relatives of the 30 victims he is believed to have killed.
Oh, its the Supreme Court of Nepal who ordered his release.
They are not Gurhkas |

Yes.
But they don't decide who gets released from prison Tom.
Much like I'm British but have no say in who gets let out here.

Yes, the Gurhkas are from Nepal.
But nothing to do with the Government.
Gurhkas are members of several peoples known for their military prowess, as well as part of Nepalese exclusive Regiments in the British Army.
Just being from Nepal, doesn't make you a Gurhka |

"Reports that the Serpent is now free....
Will he kill again though. That is the question...."
Probably end up cycling too fast through a red light and killing a baby in a pram. You'd love that |
