but lets get real here, that was then, they rented in their or most of their greatest minds, since then their education levels have dropped to a level that as of now a child has to only scrape basic level math and English to advance to the next grade without a red flag being raised in relation to support, they only concentrate on education inwards, and as a result the favourite pass time now is either window kicking, or if you are south of a certain line gun rubbin and cousin lovin, or is that the other way round,

Well England did own parts of America until the 1700's, so surely this gives us a right to comment on anything that has happened since then. Doesn't it? |

Both countries can be funny, but we're able to nail that awkward social humour.
The difference is best exemplified in American versions of British shows |

I think (I realise much of the above is tongue in cheek) people are making bland statements fed by media and absolutely no experience whatsoever in general.
I mean, I could certainly venture onto the streets of the UK and portray a lazy, inept, self centred and uneducated population if I wanted to? But its how you choose to see things?
I never understand why people will so vehemently defend some countries cultural and diversity choices (even if they are horrendous) yet jump on uncle Sam. |

They will travel 800 miles like nothing "
Americans think 100 years is a long time.
British think 100 miles is a long way
One of my favourite quotes, even if I can't remember who said it.
My brother is American and thought nothing of driving 90 miles to a restaurant for a meal. |

As a duel National it’s been an interesting read….
I think about queuing… I see you queue… interesting concept!! I have done it through border control… well.. I have watched people do it at border control!!!!
Also… weather… what brits call extreme and what Americans call extreme… 2 different things!! You guys will have to watch the weather channel sometime..
For example we had a cold snap last week… in Chicago today the top temperature is 1 degree……. Fahrenheit!!! (Wind chill minus 25 by the way) you are talking 10 minute frostbite weather!!! |

Religion has a much stronger influence on American society and politics than in the UK.
Americans are much more into circumcision. Over half of baby boys are cut in the first few days of their lives, which is down from about 80% in the 80s.
These are a couple of things Americans have difficulty letting go of. |

I've found that it's a lot easier to get laid in America. Both girls and guys seem to cut to the chase and be a lot more upfront about what they want. I've only visited the major metropolitan areas though, NYC, San Fran, Portland, Miami, Orlando, LA and Vegas. It could just be a quirk of big US cities? |

America was invented by ABANDONED CHILDREN,,,
And like Unsupervised kids they went nuts altogether,
Fffking
Build skyscrapers the size of Mountains,
Cars the size of Swimming pools,
Eating Chicken out of Buckets, and wondering why they are Fat.
And writing into their Constitution IN THE Pursuit Of Happiness,,
Sure chasing happiness is like trying to have a sneeze a cough a shite and a Wank at the same time,
You are going to be left Disappointed,, whaaaaa
(its a joke folks, before more knickers or Panties get twisted here ffs) |

I have travelled extensively in the USA.
I have found the average American (If there is such a thing) very friendly and inquisitive about the UK. They are generous and ready to help you. They generally work hard and struggle to see any benefit in "socialist" ideas.
Sadly, because of their sub-3rd World holiday from work schemes very few travel so they have a parochial view of "foreigners". They are far more religious than the UK. They have far greater entrenched views on politics and people of a different colour to themselves. They are constantly being manipulated by the politicians they elect to look after their interests. |

The half-American sibling only has a sense of humour problem....or it might be that they just don't get my neurodivergent morbid British Humour. Then again maybe they are only half the weight because they are half-American. Lol! Nah they were a picky eater from childhood. We have had arguments over the fruit leaf water that they call tea. |

I can’t watch them eat!
If they’re on holiday, they tend to go absolutely mental as if they’ve been let loose!
Re knife and fork, some Americans in WW2 on special operations behind enemy lines were caught out because of this

The half-American sibling comes across as a militant political entity... I'm the one who studied politcs at British uni......That I blame on going to indoctrinating American college. Luckily the un-American part of them has decided to quit their job and travel and can I say that I'm relieved. Roll on their stays in the UK and Japan. |

I also think Americans demand a higher level of customer service, perhaps due to their tipping culture?

My meal last night cost me £10 in service charge. No idea if that goes to the staff or it’s just kept by the restaurant. It seems more common paying 12.5% in service fee. In the US it’s 20% |
