Speaking to some friends about buying a Christmas gift to yourself. Do you?
I never have but I think I will this year. But it’s going to be difficult keeping it a surprise, I know.  |

That’s what I said last night. When people have asked what do I want? Nothing. I buy stuff through the year.
But I am going out of my way and going to get something. I do t know what yet, because I don’t NEED anything. |

I wait til the January sales, although these days they start in December anyway so I may have to change my approach.
There nowt wrong with treating yourself when you can. Why not? As long as its not at the expense of others you love.
If you're splashing out on yourself first and being a tight arse with them, then you're just a cnut.

Yes, I buy myself a few gifts - all nice things that I genuinely want - so that my kids see me receiving gifts and having nice things. Throughout the year I often go without so that we can afford ordinary things, so at Christmas I like to make a point of showing them that I deserve nice things too |

I never treat myself per se… anything I do buy for myself it’s because I usually need it… new clothes, new Hoover etc.
I enjoy spending my money on others… those whose friendship I value and family. |

No I don't as I buy what I want, when I want during the year. I have treated myself to a Santa outfit that I was going to wear to a club Christmas party night. |
