Christmas Pudding Ideas

I don’t like traditional Christmas pud.

Usually my sister will make something like apple tart/crumble (I used to love apple pies but I haven’t now for years)

I’m a picky eater and I now have an added health issue which means I can’t eat (or shouldn’t eat) the things I would like too.

So can someone suggest something for me.

It cannot have cream in it.

It cannot have alcohol in it.

It cannot have butter or loads of fat in it

But I’d like it to be more than what I’d have on a normal day

I have NAFLD so don’t want to upset my liver.

How about a baked peach with brown sugar, greek yogurt and a sprinkling of toasted almonds?

Various

A variation on one of the above, a baked apple with a mincemeat (or just dried fruit) centre. Small spoonful of lemon sorbet to contrast the richness of the filling. Or, a warm mincemeat 'dip' to have with apple and pear slices.

Mincemeat has suet in it, suet is fat… also said in a roundabout way that I’m no longer keen on cooked apples

I did think that after I posted. You can get some really good peaches in jars but too often they're in brandy. You could substitute banana or fresh figs.

Hmm? Is it as good as jam on squashed shredded wheat?
