I get called this quite a bit on here. Not that it bothers me, as the saying goes, nice guys always cum last
My question to you wonderful fabsters.
What constitutes being a nice guy, your thoughts please |

The vast majority of men are nice but the phrase has been taken over by men (op excluded) who think being nice is the reason they don't get sex or that being nice is the reason they *should* get sex. |

See for me personally nice is a bit bland. Nice. Surely there are more exciting words to use to describe someone?
But it's harmless. I think it means someone who is well... nice. Nothing bad to say about him. Polite. Never overly sexual or full of shit jokes. Kind and not offensive. Nice really. |

To be honest, when I hear someone say ‘he’s a nice guy’ I’m always waiting for the ‘but’.
‘But he’s a bit wet’
‘But he’s a bit boring, always going on about Football, Rugby etc..’
‘But he’s got some very dodgy views’
I prefer to hear he’s a decent bloke or stand up guy, maybe, not too many ‘but’s’ after that.
I should add I’m sure you Op are a nice guy without a but, afterwards |

I'm very curious about all things psychology related, so enjoy a little bit of a personal recce from time to time.
There's a whole theory on the 'nice guy' versus the 'good guy'.
Well worth a bit of research if you are actually interested.
Being considered 'nice' isn't an asset or compliment imho. If it's given.... it's usually a brush-off, if it's claimed by a person themselves.... it's usually masking less pleasant personality traits, loosely hidden behond a veneer of social polish
There's certainly a lot of pseudo-nice behaviour on fab |

This. 100000000%
Being nice shouldn't be seen as anything other than expected behaviour. Nice isn't something you should have to put any effort into being. It's almost a minimum standard both in life and on here.
It is very commonly used by people of here to attempt to differentiate themselves from others, much in the same way words like 'genuine' and 'professional' are thrown around.
Saying you're nice means fuck all. Anyone can come across as nice online, but can easily be far from it in person.
It's a word. That's all.

My next door neighbour is a really nice guy. He’s a little bit emancipated (nothing like the bloke in Motherland) but that means he goes out of his way to be caring and supportive to his family and put his manly pursuits aside.
This kind of extends to all the neighbours, he will put my bin out when I forget and if he sees a parcel going back in a van he’ll get it for me.
When I’m away I know my daughter can knock on his door anytime she needs help.
Nothing wrong with being a super nice guy like that |

I have great experiences with ‘nice guys’. The kind who open doors and stop you from crossing the road without looking. They love their Mums, are friendly to people serving in shops.
But get them naked and they are creative, unpredictable and FILTHY. Love that dichotomy. |

"Nice", such an insipid word isn't it? It's a sit-on-the-fence non-committal word, borderline disingenuous.
"Did you enjoy the Abstract works of art at the Halcyon Gallery?". Yes, it was...nice.
How was your Fab playdate, that was months in the planning? Oh, it was...nice. |

I agree with the above.
We men are not owed sex.

I don't have a huge problem with being called nice. I am nice, and don't see it as the pejorative that some people think it is, but appreciate you might choose/prefer/hope someone to use a different adjective in some circumstances! |

I think it has probably been said... but "nice" should be a baseline. Everyone should be "nice" and then add the awesome bits on top. After all, the antonym of nice is nasty (or awful). And that's not something that humans should be. |

"Somebody who puts the toilet seat down "
A slight tangent I’m sorry, but why do so many people not put the toilet lid down also? It’s not there to prop the cistern up, go to the toilet, put the seat and lid down when finished please and thank you. |
