Probably more to do with the people you fancy not fancying you.
'You' as in a general 'you' - not specifically you OP.
It's unrealistic to expect everyone that catches your eye to feel the same.

Probably more that I feel should it happen it will come from more than a wink or a random message.
The forums are great for waiting and seeing a contributors behaviour and getting a feel for how that person is before messaging.
The thing about that is, you may actually have something to say that will be deemed mutually interesting when you do message. |

Hmmm mixture of things:
- me (I doubt myself even in my ‘better’ days)
- distance
- often we’ve chatted and arranged to meet later that week/next week only to soon read a verification that they’ve met with in the meantime (kind of off-putting). Some of you may think this is reasonable behaviour but it just puts me off. |

Most people are not mutually compatible with most other people. Thinking otherwise is to create unrealistic expectations.
And things are complex, with limited availability, meets from here not being no. 1 life priority etc. |
