I wouldn't say we should be afraid but I think it's sensible to avoid risky activities at a time you're less likely to be able to quickly access medical help. That isn't just limited to strikes, I would also argue the point on days when the emergency services are more stretched like bonfire night and NYE. Of course we can all do what we want and people don't have to change their plans but it's good to at least be aware when you may be waiting longer for help with things like injuries. |

If government ministers wanted do do something to promote health, wellbeing and safety in the community...
Then they could simply advise everyone not to vote them in again at the next election. Would be a better use of their time and definitely of more benefit than the advice they're giving at the mo.

At home yesterday after not turning the lights on and fumbling around the house in near total darkness, I jabbed my finger into the latch of a door and hooked it right down my fingernail.
My tip is to go out where it's light and there's no risk of latches. |

We're all slowly adjusting our behaviour to accommodate the situation that exists in this country. We did it very well during covid and we're doing it now.
We had a text from our surgery last week telling us that due to staff shortages we shouldn't contact the surgery, call 111 or go to a and e.
We had a text from southern water yesterday telling us that because many areas in the south were without water we should restrict our usage.
Is there anything I can do?  |
