So you’ve been on Fab a long time (some longer than others ).
What’s changed? What’s the same and is it as good or bad as it was when you joined?
For me, off the Forum looks very very busy, and a little crowded to how it was. There was much more replies in the past to profiles you’d never spoken too. Also if I’d have looked to see who was local, I’d see a lot less men. Just my views to how things have changed.
What’s yours.? |

"I don't think it's changed that much. Maybe more single men on here? I think I've changed more, what I'm hoping and using the site for so in turn that might affect how I view it. "
This is true. I think we do see things depending how we’re are.

I don't even think there's more single men as there were plenty way back in 2008. I think that there were less using the forums which may affect people's perceptions.
Apart from the functionality changes (videos, pics on messages etc) it really hasn't changed at all. Some moan about that and think an app style site would be an improvement. I suspect though they just think that may boost their success - it wouldn't.
The site is, and always has been, just a means of making contact with people. It doesn't need bells and whistles. It doesn't need flashy features and potential quick fixes.
What's made Fab be as popular as it is are the people that use it. If it really was as ineffective as some claim and no use for arranging meets then there wouldn't be people who've been here over a decade. There wouldn't be the people coming and going through the revolving door, deleting profiles and starting again. There wouldn't be the familiar profiles that you can easily identify despite a new name, new pictures and new text.
Fab is what Fab has always been. A free site to put you in touch with others. And it does that very well despite what some will think.
If someone doesn't enjoy the site or feel it works for them, then I have one piece of advice.
It's not Fab. It's you.

FAB doesn't change - people do.
I found it far more sociable in the past. I found forum users more interesting. Granted there were one or two 'odd' folk that made it all the more fun but mostly - to me it was more grounded people with an interest in swinging and less hard cocked desperados with foul mouths.

It really hasn't changed that much.
Just my opinion, but when you first join and its all shiny and new and exciting, and every interaction is "going somewhere ".
I think your own personal perception changes, not the site.
Sadly,'some' of the more seasoned members become a little jaded and dismissive of others? But thankfully they're in the minority. |
