What is something that is generally accepted as part of Christmas dinner (or roast dinner in general)that will not grace your table?

For me it's cauliflower cheese

So what's not on your dinner?

Everything is on my dinner.

It's my favourite part.

Dubai & Nottingham

Most of it tbh. Been talked into making my first one ever this year for my ex wife, mum, daughters and some guy from the gym. I hate Sunday dinners, gravy, potatoes & moldy veg etc

I’m thinking chicken breast with roast plantain & sweet potato. Maybe some asparagus & carrots lightly fried in olive oil. That’s all they are getting. If they want gravy they can bring their own & eat outside

It would take some convincing to convert me to liking that poor excuse for a sauce.

Sprouts, cauliflower and bread sauce. I would have bread sauce but I’m the only one who eats it so no point in making a packet for most of it to go to waste.

NO cauliflower cheese with Christmas dinner or mash.

The only problem with Christmas dinner is the pressure to do 16 different types of veg

How the hell do you keep it all hot

Don't mind a bit of cauliflower but no cheese sauce on the Christmas dinner plate. Bread sauce can also join it on the naughty list.

As I said yesterday, nothing but Roast Turkey and all the trimmings, including bread sauce will do. So if you could deliver that for approximately 2pm on Christmas Day OP that would be wonderful

Please and thank you

Tonypandy.

It's easy. The cauliflower cheese goes one side of the plate. Then you build a wall around it with mash. That stops the cheese sauce and gravy mixing.

Nooooooo

As mash is not on there either

Roast and boiled potatoes no mash

Though someone who will be here Christmas day will have fillet steak and mash as her dinner.
