It's ok. It's easy to shorten. I don't use my full name except for official forms. I don't even use it at work.
It was very popular about 20 years before I was born, so most people with my name are now around 60. You do hear it fairly often. There's even a girl at my children's school with my name, which is a little odd.
I can't imagine being called anything else, so I guess it suits me |

Thats me using your full name from now on

Fine. Be interesting to see if you can spell it. Plus I'll shorten your name to annoy you |

I only started liking my name when I hit my 30's. I'm named after my father's mother and was always called the short version but I now prefer the full name x |

I like my name, it’s multisyllabic but has always been shortened… lately I’ve been referring to myself by the full pronunciation in all its glory and trying to get new acquaintances to call me that |

I love my name, now it's the correct gender for me. Before I was Samuel Stephen, now I'm Samantha Stephanie. It's almost as if my parents knew what would happen and so gave me a pretty unisex name! |

I disliked my name for years, I’m just used to it now. It’s not a common name at all but weirdly, there were 2 other girls in my school year with the same name.
Mr has one of my favourite boys names! No one ever calls him it though which is a real shame. He’s been known as the magic torch version his entire life! |

"Yep I like my first name. As a child I disliked my middle name but now I like that too. Both of my names are not very popular.

"Nah, I don't. It's a combination of an English and more traditional Punjabi name whereas my siblings all have traditional ones."
Now I want to know what it is , you never told me |

"I don't dislike it. Very ordinary and boring. Typical 1960's name"
When I was at school I so wished that my parents had giving me a typical 1960's name like my school mates, but I believe that you do eventually grow into your name |
