The outrage of messi being made to wear a garment during the World Cup…

I have seen a few videos and posts online… when messi was given a robe or similar type of garment to wear… Garry lineker being one.. said that he shouldn’t have wore it.. as it is wrong…
What is the actual problem? What’s the cry over… he was given the clothing item by one of the royals of Qatar to honour him nothing more.. I think out of all the things in this World Cup… this just seems like we seem to be picking out every little thing and behind big critics |

It's the final image of sportswashing the Qataris could muster.
The likes of Lineker, Shearer Ferdinand etc taking the cash sticks in most people's throats.
Shearer with his "moral stance" but forgetting who owns his beloved Newcastle...
The ruling Qatar powers bought Blatter 12 years ago, have financed Infantino and his insane Ramblings.......
They will return to their way of life when all the cameras have left . |

I don’t think they changed their way of life to host the World Cup.. they tried to accommodate people coming in to the country as best as they could.. all within the county’s laws.
The garment is something that the king wears as a symbol.. kind of like a crown… it was given to him to honour him, so it was mostly out of respect for his achievement in football and in the World Cup. |

A Bisht given in these circumstances was quite the honour for Messi.
Aside from the fact it looked like something from Anne Summers. Any fuss is silly considering the grand scheme of things.
It was a successful World Cup devoid of the usual troubles. Shame about the background to it.

He was the Captain of the winners , that dress attire was only something of their culture , yes of course it never happened to any winning Captain before but then again the World Cup was never held in Qatar either, it was just their way of Saluting the winning Captain... nothing more .. nothing less. |

Disrespectful were all the completely unrelated hangers on in the celebrations afterwards. What the fuck was Salt Bae doing there trying to get selfies with the trophy and each player.
Only the players, staff and families should be anywhere near the trophy. It's fuck all to do with you, you salt obsessed nonce. |

Would that not be forcing their culture onto someone which is the exact thing they didn't want western countries doing to them? I appreciate it may be an honour, but at the same time, I wouldn't want to wear it if I was about to lift the most prestigious trophy in my sport for the country I love. And especially because it's Messi, that image of him wearing it lifting the trophy is what will be seen for the next 100 years. So I suppose it's job well done as far as they're concerned. |
