Macaroons have coconut in them, and are often baked on rice paper.

Macarons have two halves sandwiched together, and have ground almonds in them. Heavenly bite-sized bliss!

£3.50 from Aldi I paid. Doesn’t seem too expensive.

Is that for like 6?

Try buying them at a food market. They’re like a pound for each. It’s ridiculous.

But have you tried making them? A pain in the ass.

I suppose that, like so many things, you get what you pay for.

Quality may vary.

The M&S ones are delish!

No £3.50 for 12. Looks like I got a good deal then, back to Aldi later to stock up before they’re gone.

Have you often thought that this is what they do at farmers markets? Buy bulk at Aldi and then repackage it as hame made and charge 4x the price for individuals?

I’ve said this about Aldi. They match almost everyone for quality.

My nearest is Aldi so it’s a simple choice for me, but I wouldn’t prefer the others anyway. There’s no difference apart from variety and choice.
