Albert Einstein once defined stupidity as repeating the same experiment under the same conditions and expecting a different result.
Well stupid scientists are announcing after over 300 studies that insects can feel pain and should be subject to animal welfare rules.
Well Tom was no fan of that jungle programme but if any large hairy spiders come within his domain then they get splattered with his favouite weapon of choice. The Newspaper.

Your reaction to being visited by a harmless arachnid. You amateur.
Me? I scream, have a Code Brown, move house immediately and call in an Air strike or artillery barrage.
If my two sons are still in the house, then that's acceptable collateral damage. |

No. As a nasty child I once pulled all the legs off a spider. Then I shouted at it to move. And it didn’t. Clearly it couldn’t hear my instructions. |
