I like Madeira this time of year and was tempted but looks like it's going to be very unsettled rainy weather over the Christmas and New Year period though you never know I suppose with these longer forecasts. Even Canaries seem to be moving to a couple of weeks of cloudy at best weather. |

Funchal is lovely, very hilly though. There are loads of bars, coffee shops and restaurants, quite a few tourist attractions too. Further afield there's lots to see and motorbike or trike tours are a lot of fun. The fruit market is a sight to see but expensive and the fish market is erm interesting .
