Where or when have you been coldest?

It's minus 3 here today but the coldest place I can remember was Toronto in February, minus 8 with wind chill taking it to minus 12!

Hadn't done my homework so got to the shops for thermals and hats pronto, before I got permanent brain freeze.

Brrr!

It was -8 this morning, but that's nothing compared to home!

When I was younger, we used to vacation up north to Norrland and it's regularly -20c up there... Beautiful place though.

Just remember I’ve been in the article circle in winter, lucky enough to see Santa in Lapland, sadly I don’t know how cold it was.

A lot I’d say.

Went October skiing in hintertux when I was a ski virgin. Balmy autumn at the bottom so went up in shorts and a t shirt. Weather changed, blizzard, minus 10 and horrendous windchill and white out... Very scary Lesson learned and been respectful of the cold ever since.

When I was on the tools many many years ago I was working near Aylesbury one day and the wind chill was -18 degrees. I've never felt anything like it. It was a "lazy" easterly wind. Too lazy to go around you as it went straight through you That's probably one of the only days where we threw the towel in and said no way !

I think it was about 10 years ago. In Manchester it got down to like -15 I'm sure. Or something crazy. And at the time, I was very poor and we had one tiny heater trying to heat up a damp and mouldy flat. I remember lots of tears, blankets, hot water bottles and cups of tea.

Coldest place was Greenland in 2019 at minus 23, even with it being so cold, it was just glorious, clear blue skies and so peaceful, a beautiful and vast country (-:
