Would like Morocco to win it… an underdog team that no one would have predicted to get this far, but my heart says Argentina are winning this World Cup! Messi’s last World Cup.. no way he’s losing it. |

Hope Argentina do it but also have no problem with any of the others winning the final.
I suppose France are my least favourite as they won it last time but I wouldn't hold it against them.
Two great games please!
I know it's at night be nice to hear about Qatar again, see if it warms me up. |

Morocco have made history by becoming the first African country to reach a world cup semi final so they can be proud of their achievements |

"I would like Argentina to cry when they lose Ash, but alas I think the Argentina v France final was pretty much pre-booked for this World Cup.
I’ll still be cheering on Croatia tonight tho "
I will also be cheering on Croatia tonight.... |

It's crazy how quiet it's gone regarding the world cup. There's only two threads running to do with it and 12 replies between them.
It's one of the years biggest, most important matches of the year tonight. |

Same. I'm stating the obvious but these come around once every 4 years and we've never had them in December before |

It's also the last time we're ever going to see the genius that is Luca Modric in a world cup which isn't easy for me say with him being an ex spurs player and me a West Ham fan but I will always incredible talent which he is and one of the best passers of the ball ever. |

Only 1/4 QF results right so pls ignore these.
France 2 v Morocco 1.
I think this is the end of the road for Morocco. France are stonger than Spain or Porugal with the individuals to break down a tough Morocco defence. Allez les Bleus !
Argentina 1 v Croatia 1, Croatia win on pens.
Argentina were my tip to win WC and no surprise to see them get help from the officials so far. But apart from Messi they are very average while Croatia have a brilliant midfield, incredible resilience and a great record at penalties.

This is why I'm hoping Argentina win. I was always more of a Ronaldo fan than Messi. Ronaldo has played over here.
In my opinion Pele was the best ever but only as he lifted the world cup. If Messi did that, then surely he is the best footballer ever?
I have nothing but praise for any of the 4 nations that are left but I didn't like Argentina's antics in they're last match. France already hold it but have players missing so credit to them.
Croatia and Morocco are just fairytales and it bwould be amazing to see them lift it, I agree though. Out of those two, I'd want Modric's team |

A part of me wants the underdog final, but for actual football entertainment I would like to see Argentina v France in the final. They play better football and watching Messi v Mbappe will be epic. |

"Part of me wants to see Argentina win the tournament for Messi.
Part of me wants them to go out ASAP.
Winston "
No part of me wants to see Argentina win as messi is just arrogant. |

That's joy of footy, we can all have a different view, a different favourite player or team.
I think your yellow card prediction might be a bit out.

Well in the last match Argentina were involved in there were 18 yellow cards. |

"What a brilliant 2nd goal from Alverez...
Argentina are well on top now...."
That deserved every bit of luck that came with it.
Often we talk about 'wanting it more than your oppenent' Well the runs the two of them made shows enough intent to justify that lucky bobble and bounce. |

Big congrats to both teams for varying reasons.
Today the deserving team won, I hope the final isn't as one sided as that but is blessed with the same quality.
I used to detest this countries football team due to the cheating Maradona but not anymore. |

And then France will wipe the floor with the dirty cheating Argies! "
The French aren't much better. |

I am a little conflicted Red. I like the French team but Messi is a marvellous player. I'd be happy for him to win if not the Argentinean team. |

It's the Final I wanted and I just hope it's an exciting match and isn't won by a mistake but by skill instead.
I hope its Argentina but not the end of my world if its France.
Well done Morocco, good again tonight and be great if they win 3rd place as I think it will really matter to them |

The boss of FIFA has come out and said 'best world cup ever'. Fucking bandit that he is. It should never of been there.
He spoke about banning the armband due to it being an on the field issue. What about the fans coming in with rainbow bucket hats, or as Sky Sports pointed out the Iran fans with T Shirts calling for womrns rights being banned from doing so?
May there never be another World Cup given to such an oppressive country which can't buy votes.
I've enjoyed the football. Italia 90 is still the best Would Cup in my lifetime. |

It's a football tournament. I enjoyed the football. Not every event needs to become a Bill board for the injustices in the world. I think it's quite right to keep politics away from sport as much as possible anyway.
But agree with you. Let's see what people make of the US, Canada Mexico edition. There's plenty there to wear armbands about. |

They always say that, as with the Olympics. It's been ok at best - quite competitive but no great teams. Some crowds good but others low atmosphere with relatively few fans from some countries. Also notable lack of women in the crowds. |
