That one thing in run up to Christmas and during you absolutely hate doing.

Post inspired by Piscean Dream comment about the horror of untangling lights by impatient people

For me:

Stocking shopping. When I think I'm done they don't seem full enough and I guilt trip myself into getting more small, perfect for tripping over them, nonsense items. Ugh.

What is your chore horror ?

I don't know if this counts but the people who pop out of the woodwork and want to see me just because it's Christmas. I'm thinking 'what the hell! You haven't responded to my communication from July, why do you suddenly want to see me because you were writing cards and suddenly remembered who I am?'

With respect, I've been trying to woo you for you last six months to no avail. That's hardly tantamount to "popping out of the woodwork".

It is confusing. An acquaintance is for life, not just for Christmas

Finding that damn reindeer! I swear he runs around the loft all year and hides when he knows I’m coming for him!

I don't mind doing anything Christmas related, BUT it's the parking and waiting for parking spaces that winds me up the most!

Gift wrapping.

I'm crap at it anyway and I can only manage a few before my neck and arms hurt.

I've recruited a grandchild to help me this year.
