Why is it that some ladies are writing 2 pages long profile about how much experience they have, yhe things they have done in life. The profile usually end with an appology about not been able to reply to your message ( likely to be 2-3 sentences. Yet they expect every one who will message them to read every line. Do they know how many profiles we read? Lol |

I word-counted and text-formatted my profile like a CV because I'm an anal, analytical overthinker.
Take it or leave it. If they ask me a question that's already in my profile I just refer them to the profile so I feel less of a parrot repeating to every guy that messages me the exact same thing I said in my profile....

Ultimately for me, my profile text (when I'm meeting) is a filter for me and the potential messenger.
I don't want to meet someone who doesn't do me the courtesy of reading my profile. My profile text means that I can spot these people more easily.
Someone who does read my profile might realise we're not a good fit, and thus save themselves time by not messaging me (and in turn might save me time by not engaging with someone where the fit is poor).
The fact that this is bad for people who don't read profiles doesn't matter to me, because they're people I'm trying to filter out. |

What *should* we have on our profiles?

Should, could, would. As one of my therapists once said to me, There is no shoulda, coulda, woulda.
I find when I stop thinking about what everyone else should be doing or what I should be doing, I am more relaxed.
If they want to write 1000 words, it's their prerogative. I don't have to read 1000 words if I don't want to. It's their profile...they can put what they like whether it's a novel or a tribute to how many dick pics they've taken over the years.
All the same for me....avert my eyes to something more pleasing. Lol! |

The arevage time spend on a web page is 15-20 seconds doing search. We read an average of 20% of a medium size page on the internet. The longer the page, the less likely we are to read even for 10sec. This is the stat.  |

People can come up with stats to prove anything. 69% of people know that to be true.
Joking aside, anyone can put anything on their profile. It can be a long profile or a short one, but longer ones tend to be good filters for people. If you don’t want to read a long profile, don’t. It’s your choice. You can send a message and be deleted for not reading or you can move onto someone else with whom you might have a better chance.
Personally I like reading a profile, even a long one. It helps me to know a bit about that person (or those people) and whether or not we may be compatible. It can also help to compose a half-decent opening message that they will actually read rather than delete. |

I done an experiment where I hidden my photos to see if men write to me based on my profile. Some do read the start of it and refer to it. But it hasn't lessened the number of messages I get having no photos to look at |

I always read every line of a profile before deciding to send a message, because a lot of profiles say "please include xxxxx word" in message so we know you have read our profile. In my experience it makes no difference what so ever that I've fully read their profile as you never get a reply. |
