No, not what you thought it was going to be, or at least only tangentially...
Is anyone else amused by the use of this term in sports reports? The idea of one football team edging another to win a match tends to arouse (sorry) some bizarre thoughts.

"The word has been in use for many years before it got sexualised. Like the word “gay “. Meant happy until it got sexualised "
You're not wrong; maybe it's a case of being sensitised to it having previously been unaware of it in a sexual context. |
