Good morning folks, how are we all doing?

In true Starfly Lou tradition here's your weekly safe space.

I've been on my hols for much of the last week so presently am feeling pretty chilled out as opposed to just chilly!

I always think these threads are important.

Feel free to air how you are feeling.

Sending warm thoughts and hugs to those that need them.

Sounds very wise - wfh.

Happy that it was a good weekend and motivation is high!

My flight is tomorrow evening and I think it's going to be a shock to the system when I get home! Going to put an extra couple of layers in my hand luggage!

Morning all

I’m doing OK.

Cabin fever is kicking in. I was rushed to hospital last week with suspected Cauda Equina so I’m on a rest/physio programme at home as well as strong painkillers.

I like my own company, but not being able to get out is grinding me down a bit.

Hopefully you are taking it easy!

I can appreciate cabin fever though... plus i'd be so frustrated being out of action.

Still, take your time and be kind to yourself!

I literally carry my boots and coat in my hand. I can't stand freezing at the airport.

Sorry to hear that. Back pain is the worst. I got it as a surprise birthday gift just before my 40th.

Sounds great. I'm not in full Christmas swing because other things are distracting me.

But I try. I got a little boy toddler to smile at me yesterday at work with my little jingle Santa hat. That makes it worth it.

I blame the pandemic for allowing me to sit on my arse for too long. Lol!

Physio sorted me out and told me that I had two locked lower vertebrae and a muscle knot in my gluteus.... It still hurts from time to time but I know what to do to stop it now.

Your condition might be totally different.

I’ve got a massage booked for Thursday night and I’m awaiting an update from my physio for next steps.

Cabin fever is driving me insane now x

I will be honest it doesn't feel safe for me anymore...for various reasons...none to do with individual Fab members or individual forum comments.

So I won't say much about myself and will try to support other individuals in the community. I'm ok. A few blips last week and over the weekend but I made it through with minimal harm so that's a win in my books.

Let me know if you need me to PM you if you don't feel safe talking about your mental health difficulties on the forum.

Men can't PM me unless I message them first.

I need to spend at least half my week out of the home otherwise my brain starts to do weird (read dysfunctional/unhealthy/unhelpful?) things so I understand the cabin fever aspect.

I work outside all week usually, so this is hitting me particularly hard.

It’s lovely to have gorgeous people like yourself take the time to correspond on the forums to give me some virtual company. X

You're welcome. The forum is generally good company. I'm good company until I get a mood swing. Then I just log off and hide under the weighted blanket with streaming.

Not sure if that's enough for snow. Yesterday I had thermals, fleece and waterproof cycling jacket on. thermal socks, Neck gaiter, hat and gloves....and that's London and I was indoors for most of it.

All OK here, but there’s the usual stresses around work pre-Christmas.

By the way - OP, thanks very much for keeping the check-in going in SL’s absence

Thankfully been away from those work stresses for a week - although back to it on Thursday. Then it's the last few days before our Christmas close down.

Hoping things start to ease off for you.

I'm only too happy to carry on with these threads.
