Little drops of yellow joy on your plate. Colourful plate and all of that.

With you there. Only way to eat corn is to pop it |

Can I have all the spare artichokes that are going begging please? They are one of my favourite memories of living in france. Especially the flesh at the bottom of the outer leaves - it tastes like the first mist of morning.
Kerala (bitter gourds) are a bit of an acquired taste (vile), but other than that, all veg are good, and lots of the ones on this list would be in my top 10 ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I like almost everything. Usually people don't like things because not cooked or served well. I must say not particularly keen on parsnips but tolerate them nicely roasted with a drizzle of honey. Some of the ones mentioned here that people don't like, I love them. That includes aubergines and artichokes and even pak choi which is nice in stir fry. As for cucumbers, which incidently classed as a fruit, can eat them all the time especially the little ones. So refreshing ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

My Brazilian friend used to make amazing dish with aubergines. Her own twist of parmigiana one due to Italian roots. I've also tried a tasty version of Bulgarian friend's moussaka with aubergines but do realise majority of other dishes I tried, probably just haven't been prepared or seasoned well. I like it thinly sliced and grilled too. |

I made some stuff aubergines the other day. Halved, filled with ratatouille and topped with bechamel and baked in the oven, delicious. ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

Oh courgette is perfect for that too isn't it. Even stuffed with chilli con carne or some grains and Veggies. Yum. |

Broccoli. Vile and horrible.
Kale...not a fan.
Spinach..love it. Pak Choi...love the buttery taste. Aubergine...never tried.
Courgette..just no.
Favourite vegetable (apart from potato), is Pepper. Red / Green /Yellow. I'll eat them raw, fried, or however they come. |

"Beetroot tastes like soil.
Parsnips and carrots have an awful scented taste (like the vegetable equivalent of parma violets)
And peas are just the devil's bogeys! "
I've heard Sprouts called elephants bogeys but never peas being maligned before !
Now carrots, pointless bright orange root food, and I hate to mention this but if you have the misfortune to vomit, somewhere carrot will appear even if you haven't eaten one for months , should only be fed to rabbits ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

I totally love all veggies every one of them, but some are so hard to get, Turnips for instance and Marrows, no bugger has them anymore. I could easily live on vegetables alone. |

I should also add that most supermarket produce is indeed tasteless, I was born and raised on a market garden and orchard, so all of our veggies were "home grown". My late wife had 2 allotments and all our veg then was home grown, the difference is amazing.
I might also add we often, I still don't, peel all vegetables either, like Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, he of River Cottage. Most root veggies are much tastier if just washed and cooked. |
