yup, been there. Had a lady friend say it to me. Was a bolt out of the blue, I loved her as a friend but nothing more than that. It totally fucked up our friendship. |

It's one of the hardest things to cope with. I held a torch for someone for years and when I eventually told him how I felt his reply was "I didn't realise and never wanted to hurt you". I'm still friends with him but I do still get the odd 'I wonder' moment. It's a bit like coping with the loss of a loved one - you need time to grieve for what you won't have. |
