Well an initial attraction is needed, so I would go with pictures first, then age and similar size to myself, then if we are both looking for the same things, distance apart etc. |

Its the avatar and pics that attract us to the profile.
It used to be that we read the profile first but since there are many who now have avatars instead of silhouettes but no pics we got caught out a time or two. 
So now we always check the pics first.

There has to be something in the profile or message that makes me want to respond - a sense of humour and someone I could click with attracts me to people
