Just watching a teleshopping advert for insanity workout DVDs. Just wondered if anyone on here has tried it . I've been looking online for reviews but can't tell if they are fake or not . So thought I'd see if any of u lot could give a more unbiased view |

My friend Stuart got it and said its pretty hard core. I kept seeing his FB updates saying he's just done it and felt sick/nearly didn't make it to the end etc. no idea if it actually worked or if he stuck it out. I'll text him later and ask x |

Not one of those people on the advert have been lard arses, not one of them has been overweight and all are physically fit before they even start the programme.
It can't be healthy for anyone to throw themselves into a regime like they portray on the dvd's.
Insanity workout, just a marketing gimmick for vanity struck morons.with too much money.
What they don't show on that dvd is the director, producer, choreographer and make up artist.
Save your money, find what works for you and use youtube for better exercise pointers. |

Yeah I realise that people on the advert are most likely fakes but with all fitness DVDs and workouts you get that . I just wondered if the intense nature of this one does actually have a benefit or wether its just gonna be too hard to do |

Whatever method you decide on, do it for you - not for anyone else !
If ladies going 'mmmm' is a bi-product of improved fitness then that's obviously a bonus for you.
To me, it should not be the prime motivator. |

Oh - and with your recent admission to blacking out in another forum, I would be careful on workouts that push your limits.
Take it easy and, if in doubt, seek medical advice on what you should or shouldn't be doing exercise wise.
The good ladies of Fab will wait for you I'm sure - and would sooner have a healthy Will than a pumped up one |

never used videos or anything like that.
you'll see a lot of these things on ebay after christmas as for most they tend to be an impulse buy and fun for about a week.
if your going to buy something but do not want to have it hogging a corner of the room in a few months get perfect push up.
works the shoulders, arms and chest without to much effort. start with about sets of 10 and do 5 sets.
when you get up in the morning do it then so your kicking yourself into gear.
add it into your life i.e.
before getting into the shower do 5 sets etc etc.
keep it very simple to begin with, but dont spend to much money because unless your going to do it everyday its money wasted. |

"I downloaded the whole thing off the net including the dietary help and calendar.
Yes it fecking hurts and yes you'll feel the pain
Do u have a six pac now that's the important question ??? And do ladies go mmmm when u take ur top off ???
Whatever method you decide on, do it for you - not for anyone else !
If ladies going 'mmmm' is a bi-product of improved fitness then that's obviously a bonus for you.
To me, it should not be the prime motivator.
Oh - and with your recent admission to blacking out in another forum, I would be careful on workouts that push your limits.
Take it easy and, if in doubt, seek medical advice on what you should or shouldn't be doing exercise wise.
The good ladies of Fab will wait for you I'm sure - and would sooner have a healthy Will than a pumped up one
I was about to say that
Thanks for the concern but it is definately an after Xmas thing. And my motivation is for myself but would be nice to have a wow factor body as an end product.
I think you look fine already, plus remember some women do not like the hulk look
Ha thank you but somehow I'm sure I will never get to the hulk look. I'm striving for the mr muscle guy on the kitchen spray adverts first
Lol I have wrong visions in my head now!. I didn't know you had a fetish for kitchen spray
I meant you dressed as Mr Muscle haha
Lol oh. Well I don't mind coming over in red shorts and rubber gloves if that's all it takes
Don't forget the glasses
And his other lovely white y-fronts lol glasses I can do will have to buy some y fronts from ur local asda for me. I'm a size S lol
Don't worry you can borrow M's "
Oh erm thanks. what time do u want me? And do i have to clean? |

The 'hulk look' for the vast majority isn't attainable without a bucket of steroids anyway so I doubt he'll have a problem there.
I don't think theres anyone in the world who lifted naturally, who ended up looking 'too muscular'. |

Its an amazing workout, highly recommended. Hard work and like people say it can make you sick. Good diet needed though and lots of commitment.
I got six weeks through it before i got an injury elsewhere.

ive just looked on google
personally i wouldnt bother.
60 days is a very short time concerning changing your body shape.
you wont get any size gains off doing what it showed on youtube.
anything high intensity will not build muscle,it will burn it off
if its a bit of bulking up you want join a gym a lift weights.
MOST IMPORTANT IS EAT LOTS
you need calories to get bigger |

anyone can have a six pack if they get their body fat down to way below a healthy level.

Insanity does work as you are mixing cardio with weights at a high intensity but make sure your diet is right otherwise on this workout your body will just eat all your muscle growth. I would say follow the workout but get the 5 meal plan going. Stick to low g.i foods because to get a six pack you should avoid sugars. Get a good source of protein through shakes or eggs, lean meats or peanut butter is very good but from a health salt because also high salt will make you retain water and no visible six pack. Good luck but keep it up and you will get the right results and another important fact is eating every 2 and half hours to keep your body burning and get some good fats in like olive oil and unsalted nuts. Remember fat doesn't make you fat. |

Keeping body in single digit body fat levels can be unhealthy and difficult to do..most bodybuilders or fitness models do this only for competitions or photo shoots etc.. You can still have visible 6 pack abs in double digits depends also on the person..so to maintain that everybody that has visble abs is unhealthy, is slightly untrue to say the least.. |

I've been doing it for two weeks and could see the difference, mind you I go spinning every day as well. Now I can't due to my injury but can't wait to start again. I have lots of army friends and they do it and recommend it. I do enjoy it, it's a hard workout but I do think if you commited and will so it every day it does works. |

The problem with fitness plans and diets is they're finite in length. What happens when the exercise regime stops, or the diet ends? I know exactly what as its happened to me - you put all the weight back on, or lose the muscle you've worked so hard for.
Best way for any fitness regime is to assume its going to be for the rest of your life, which means cutting anything out of your diet will not last. Go with the 80:20 rule. Eat healthily 80% of the time and treat yourself the other 20%. Moderate to hard exercise for an hour every day. Be honest, if a workout makes you throw up and in pain then how long will it last?
I lost 2 stone by cutting down on food (bulking up with greens, but I still drank wine and ate chocolate) and visitng the gym an hour a day. I have now put on a stone by letting that slide but with a shiney new gym just opened up the road I'll be back after Xmas. |

I agree with this, fads like insanity, lighter life, and all the others are a great short term gain, but at end most people I've seen on the fad diets, have returned to normal body weight within weeks.
Regular exercise and healthy eating is the only way to go. |
