Hi all if you have bad customer service do you complain?
I don’t usually but this hotel in edgbaston just took the piss 55 minutes to wait for food only for it to have been reheated!
Would you have complained? |

Yeah but even more so I'd leave a review on Google, in this case a 2 star one |

Depends on the circumstance. If I can see the staff are doing their utmost then I’m happy to be reasonable and wait a little longer. However, if they have the time to start pulling out their phone or starting non work related conversations etc. then I have an issue with that.
I simply like to be kept informed about any changes to what was agreed or promised. |

Yeah always. For that I’d complain and eat it and get free drinks or offer part payment. Someone fucked up & it’s mostly not staff but management. So just be mindful in how and who you complain to. Overworked underpaid staff are not normally the ones at fault |

Rarely. I’ll usually complain to whoever I’m with then when the waiter comes over to ask if everything is ok , I smile and say everything’s perfect thanks.
But yes I’d be a bit annoyed waiting nearly an hour for reheated food and I think complaining would be justified. |

"Yes, you might get a complimentary drink or dessert.
That’s been spat in "
I think that if you make a reasonable complaint without getting all shouty, then staff will try to put it right rather than spit in your stuff. Mind you, if you get all shouty or aggressive, you are unlikely to get what you want!

I won’t even complain let alone get aggressive. Having worked in kitchens in my teens I saw some horrible and immature stuff happen to customers food for even the slightest thing |
