North Norfolk area

So, the RFU have sacked Eddie Jones, and appointed Richard Cockerill (England scrum coach) as his interim replacement.

In my personal opinion (for what it's worth), the sacking is a couple of years overdue. But, is it too late to realistically improve England's chances of a successful Rugby World Cup (let alone 6 Nations) campaign?

Has our woeful AI performance(s) been down to the coach(es) or the players? Or even the RFU /or PRL?

I have to agree with you, OP. EJ is great for nations who want to punch above their weight...the problem with England is getting them to play to the level expected of them and the player base that no other nation enjoys

I see a lot of England supporters on other sites claiming Eddie is great, has been hard done by, haven't a hope of winning the world Cup now.

For me it's simple. After watching England in the last 6n, over the summer tour and the autumn internationals do you England supporters honestly believe you could win the 6n or world Cup next year with the players, game plan and style of management Eddie has brought to your team.

If you think no we can't win either well then getting rid of him hasn't really hurt your chances has it. A new management team will bring new ideas, players and game plans so they might be good enough instead of we know they aren't.

However if your part of the Eddie cult your never going to be persuaded he had to go.

As an Irish supporter I've supported Andy farrell since he took over. True when he was announced I wasn't sure he had it at that level but I supported the team and he has proven he has and we are looking good for it.

The Welsh supporters all seem to be rowing in behind gatland. Can you English supporters do the same for your team.

I agree it's too late. But the review obviously reckons someone else can do better in the 6n and world Cup. I'm not sure we have the players though. How many of our lot would get in the French or Irish or South Africa squad.? Our back row are dreadfully slow by international standard and we have no centre pairing. Itoje has been living on past glories for a year. As has May and Nowell. So yeah new start... Let's see how it goes. Might be the rocket some of the players need.
