In the light of so many food related threads on here I think it's fair to ask: is food often/sometimes/never a substitute for sex ?
Or do both carnal appetites rise and fall together ?

Probably, I have never felt sexier than I do now and have the attentions of a friendly group in my local club. I also purged sugar from my diet 2 months ago and I've lost a stone. I'm not struggling. |

For people who use sex to self-soothe, food can absolutely be a substitute for sex. Both provide an almost instantaneous hit of dopamine, which the brain interprets as pleasure. And in many cases, eating food doesn’t require nearly as much mental and physical energy as having sex does. |
