hey guys so I need some advice quickly....
I have a social meet planned for this afternoon and I'm now wondering what we will discuss or what? Just we having a social meet in a cafe...
What do you as a couple benefit from a social and what is it youd be looking for in a single guys?
Cheers |

Hey nice to see you're doing well!
My boyfriend always worries about this before socials and then is always pleasantly surprised conversation flowed. The -real- aim here is to see how a person talks, moves, conducts themselves, so in some respects as long as you don't say something distasteful or downright offensive, it doesn't matter what you talk about. The topics of conversation will depend on the specific interests of those present, we like to hear about the person we are meeting, some general life stuff, past experiences can be a common topic when swingers get together (but follow their lead on that cos some prefer focus only on themselves/people present). Then also don't forget...what do you want to talk about? |

When you meet anyone for a coffee do you pre-plan the conversation?
The whole point of a social is to see if all parties get on and are comfortable enough with each other to have a normal chat.
Just relax and enjoy it for what it is. |

Oh god just be normal…. Be yourself & smile, pretending to be something you’re not can be seen through in seconds. Everyone here are just people at the end of the day, chat about random stuff - Christmas/NYE plans, World Cup, holidays… see where it goes. |

Forget swinging or anything related to it.
Think of meeting a couple of old friends in a pub where you just chat.
It is about chemistry, getting along and seeing you have not brought an axe along to keep you company.
Remember they are a couple so don't just talk to one.
Usually after a couple of minutes it is like being good friends and you can chat about anything.
Give them some space at some point to talk about you (go to the bar or toilet) and if anything is going to happen let them bring it up. |

We had a lovely social with a single guy yesterday in a coffee shop. We discussed loads of different topics, like others have said from everyday things to some sexual stuff. We are always very mindful though of the other customers when chatting. We want to know the other person will be respectful if invited into our home (once it’s renovated), there’s a chemistry in person and they’re on the same wavelength sex wise.
Just be yourself and you’ll be fine.

We size them up, akin to buying a prize horse, including checking out their teeth and gums.
We then talk about them, not to them, so they understand they are just chattel and there for our own amusement!
We then make them pay for everything, get some cakes and coffees to go and fuck off! |

We are looking to see if there’s a connection.
We will talk about anything and everything to determine if there’s a spark there. To be honest we’d rather talk about other things rather than sex - can see that spark when they talk passionately about other subjects.

"For us it's common ground...so chatting about regular life is key, families, work etc
I would find it a bit odd to chat about families, especially my children, to swinging strangers"
Really? Doesn't bother us at all and probably don't have much else to chat about chuckle.... |

Be your unassuming, charming self. The best advice I can give you is; take no expectations and relax if you can.
If it’s a MF Couple the man man will likely want to see you being respectful to him and in particular his partner, and she will want to feel relaxed and safe.
Good luck

If someone started asking personal questions like that I'd find it incredibly creepy and leave. |

When I meet couples for a social I make sure I speak to both of them, make eye contact with both of them and then just be myself. If yourself isn't what they want them there's no point pretending to be anything other. They're just people at the end of the day. I'd say as a dash of cheeky/devilish as its a social with a view to hopefully more though. |

Well we d know a fair amount about someone before arranging a meet anyway...and it's not like we ask personal questions it's more just having a regular conversation |

I think the most important thing is just to be yourself and relax.
Be respectful of both members of the couple and talk to both of them. Good luck OP. (I am part of a couple) |

"I’d discuss light hearted topics such as religion or politics….
My last social we probably talked politics for the best part of 2 hours
And did it end in shagging or a repeat date? "
Yes. And she's one of my closest friends still.
The point is, and I know the comment I was replying to was said in jest, but asking what to talk about is pointless. A good social is about finding a common ground that all parties enjoy talking about. |

The conversation usually goes whichever you want obviously starts off with small talk and then just flows from that, seen as it’s a public place I’m guessing it’ll be mostly general chat chat getting to know each other.

Well there are things you will not be able to change with the best preplanning. Like chemistry or lack of it. My missus would always be straight and tell directly if she thinks it's going anywhere or it is going to be just that - a social. If there's attraction, don't forget your naughty side. |

We generally talk about Fab or club related fuckwittery for a bit sort of shit that’s happened king of thing but allow some time for what we’re actually hoping to achieve / what we’re looking for.
Usually allow about and hour for a social.
She likes our guest to be flirty and obviously interested in her.
We as the makes need to get on but hire not trying to fuck me and I don’t need a new best pal so line up in the middle somewhere
Good luck. |

Sometimes we also discuss my bad typing and where I may have left my glasses. |
