Shall I hold forth about Neanderthals? That'll do prevent it being interesting

Yes, unironically.

.

I'm still awake.

Yeah, I'm feeling better now! Need to learn to manage feelings more and not be quite as instinctive with my initial response. Everyone is different and sometimes I lose sight of that when I get a bit hurt.

I really should be asleep soon as up at half five tomorrow and got a long day!

Has anyone started decorating yet?

It seems from evidence obtained from the wing bones of birds of prey that they used feathers as decoration. Preceding black feathers to other colours.

I should really be asleep - such a hectic week! But it always takes me ages to wind down.

Glad you are feeling better, Meli. No decorating for me until Christmas Eve...I'm old-fashioned like that.

Oh,I love that! Do we know if they used instruments? Earliest bone flutes so far discovered are around 35000 BCE, so pretty close.

Alas there shall be no decor this year for me.

I travel to and from work during the week. I'd be putting up decorations for a total of 3 days enjoyment of them

Yes, there's evidence of flint knapping. There's little flesh on the wings of birds but wing bones were found with cut marks leading archaeologists to infer that the feathers were what they were after. Also they found marks carved in the rocks

You meant musical instruments not tools...doh!

No evidence for wind instruments

Such a clever deduction, to trace the cut marks to the likelihood of feathers.

And a complete misreading by me of your question .

There was obviously much more to it than my simple explanation.

Procrastinating over something specific, or life in general?

I used to meditate when I caught myself procrastinating. Helped organise my thoughts immensely
