The Police are now stopping the freeze on recruitment!! ( not sure what date exactly) but I for one will be banging my application in ASAP
Bout time they realised we need more bobbies on the beat. |

Devon and Cornwall Constabulary just this week announced a further 200 Police Officers to be cut from their force, apparantly the natural retirement shrinkage just isn't happening fast enough to meet their reduced budget....
Good luck in your endeavours, hope it works out for you....but I'd consider very seriously your continued participation on these forums if you are serious about joining up. |

I totally agree with you, I have Three Police Officer Swinging friends/aquaintences.....One Male Officer and a husband and wife who are both serving officers....they wouldn't dream of being on this site, let alone show their face photos.
I totally respect the role they have in society, I don't always agree with everything our police forces do, and they have rotten apples like any other body of people....but I sure as hell wouldn't want to have to do their job and am glad we have them to protect us.

I think its just common sense to abstain from fabs during the recruitment process. No point in blowing your chances with an application, just for the sake of a bit of banter on here.

Don't think all forces will be recruiting but GMP have announced they will increase and I think the Met will be to. "
Quite a few forces have been recruiting lately. Good luck with your application & if you get invited to an assessment centre, do your research; it'll be useful. |

It looks as if parts of the country are laying off trained and experienced police officers and other parts are recruiting new ones.
Both proceses are time consuming and expensive. Isn't there a way of encouraging cops to relocate, perhaps using some of the savings to be made from training and redundancy budgets? |
