does it put you off posting in it? It does me, I always feel like people won't read or care what the 150th poster has to say, and that's a lot of posts to read to get up to speed...

So I usually pass them by unless they're very compelling. Anyone else do this?

Yeah, I like to get in on a thread early as it feel like the flow dies a little when you respond quite late to it u less you state something really controversial that justifies a Part 2

I always look out for the 150th poster.

I'm not keen on those that are too premature.

No i'll just pop my opinion in regardless of the number, if it interests me. I'm worst for not returning to see if anyone has replied to my comment, I figure if it's that important they would dm me

Nope, whenever I comment it gets passed by or kills the thread anyway so doesn't matter when I post

If there's one thing I'm about it's making people feel like they are in their youth again!

It's different in your own threads. Agood OP returns periodically to check things aren't getting out of hand

I get disappointed when i read the opening OP and post my response, then take the time to read all the other posts and realise the thread went tits up with loads of fighting if there is time i might delete my reply

Another reason it would put me off posting is if I had a smart and witty reply that someone else already said 6 hours and 149 replies ago

Depends on the thread. Sometimes I like to get in early and get the bargains and sometimes I'm left with the scraps.

Either way as long as I'm still popular I don't care

You need to follow the virus forum

The longer threads sometimes get more controversial!!

The 175th post should be a summary of the thread

I don't care how many it has but I'll skim the last few posts and if it's all massive quote replies I know it's either turned into an argument or a private convo, then I usually won't post because I can't be bothered reading it all to see if it's still relevant to reply to the OP!

No. I post to entertain myself not others.

I assume that as I don’t read other peoples replies no one will read mine anyway!

I'll have a look to see whether someone has already said what I'm about to say.

If not then I'm always happy to shout into the darkness and let the conversation carry on around me. Lack of response or thread fatigue has never stopped me yet!

I generally do a "drive by" - add my opinion/ comment & don't revisit the thread,

I have a short attention span so rarely open a thread that has more than 30/40 posts..
