Today the village church bells are ringing whats today. ? I love hearing the church bells and over Xmas too. x At times that ring out its a saints Birthday . |

"Our local bells are rung or is it peeled most Sunday mornings if that doesn't wake me up then the rifle range down the road does " I know when people die thay have the BELLS at times .... but was thinking so close to xmas is it a specile day. x |

As an ex-tower captain, I've spent many year's ringing bells, for weddings, services and anything else we could find an excuse to ring for! It's a great pastime. In fact, it was the cheapest hobby I ever had, actually getting paid to ring for weddings.
If you ever feel the temptation... to learn to ring that is! then most towers are very welcoming. And no, you don't have to attend church learn to ring.
BTW, you "ring" bells, you don't peal them. A peal is something different, thus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peal

You can here our bells from my house. Every sunday at 10am to welcome people to the morning service.
Weddings, not heard any today. They rang for half an hour at the start of the olympics. I love hearing them |
