It was the best thing I've ever done.
Came out of an 11 year relationship and spent 3 months in Europe last summer. 6 weeks on walking the camino. Would recommend it to Anyone. |

We normally do a 10 day summer holiday but recently we have been doing a few 2 or 3 night breaks and we might continue to do that instead of having a longer holiday. |

"Nothing booked as no one yo go with. I may just go alone
Was my first time travelling solo last year and it was amazing. "
I've done it a few times. All you have to think about is you, when to stop for a coffee or beer and where and when you want to eat. I loved it and it's very relaxing. |

"2-3 months at our house in Italy to sort out the garden and remedial work after winter and covid. Probably in March sometime. Taking motorhome over with dog as we miss him when we holiday. "
That is definitely a long one. I am sure you willenjoy despite the work. And having the dog along will make it even more special |

"I quite fancy crete...any advice? "
What sort of advice? It's quite a big island so depends what you like. Obviously everyone knows about partying Malia but there are amazing places to go. I have been few times. Last time I stayed near Chania which was great and also did the Samaria gorge but not for the faint hearted and even managed to catch side of the wild mountain goats , can't remember what they are called. Time before that it was just outside the capital Heraklion and did lots of the museums, the Palace of knossos and such like. Amazing, the museum was just wonderful, could have stayed in there all week. There are great beaches on both the north and south side of the island. One of the things I found different from other places is how nice the people are, at least where I went. I never had so many free meals and drinks. Very hospitable. I am not sure when I might go again but I will certainly do sometime in the future. |

We did 16 days in morrocco this year which we'll be paying off fir a while yet. Already got 3 long weekends booked for next year and suspect there'll be a few more rather than a longer holiday |

I recently found a company called WeRoad who specialise in holidays for single travellers. I went to Morocco last month. I've booked New York for Feb & Jordan in May. If you like to be busy & actually see the place, rather than laying on a beach, these hols are great. They have a discount code if you would like it x |

You are welcome. Just one more thing, as in many places lots of the hotels have gone all inclusive which is fine if it's your thing. Personally I like to wonder and taste the local tavernas a d the lovely different plates of food, see where the locals go or even ask them and you can't go wrong. And by the way, ask for the house wine, I found it always good and a fraction of the well known makes. Enjoy. |

I have a week's Rhine cruise but didn't mention it as I think only two weeks or more is "long""
I should not put long and noticed it after but nothing I could do. I was meaning not necessarily a day in Manchester lol. Like you Rhine one, I am looking for one myself. I did a mini one few years back and want to do one now minimum a week possibly 9 or 10 days. Enjoy |
