Just curious be careful with listing sites and just abbreviate or face-bk. I’m just curious how people date these days after finding myself single. It seems like a crazy new world and I’m interested in knowing what works for you |

I only really use hnge met a a few people over the summer but were just hooking up and didn't last more than 2 weeks.
Rest of the popular apps I never really got into.
Meeting girls the old fashioned way is still the best for me. Bars and nights out with friends and chatting which is getting more normal again now after covid. |

The majority on PoF (don't you believe they are all looking for a marriage partner).
However chance conversations in supermarkets have proved helpful.
Examples:
"Do you know anything about red wine?"
"Who are you going to drink it with?"
"My boyfriend"
"Shucks, but you look nice so I will help you anyway!, but I usually buy mine at another store (mentioned)".
"If I give you my number can you get me some when you go there?"
In another supermarket:
Met two black girls by the J20 shelf and asked if I could just read the price tag. One said "Do you like chatting to black girls?". Answer "Yes" so she replies "I'm married but my sister isn't".
"In that case I need her phone numb'077...'(interjected)er". "Slow down,I need to write it down"! talk about enthusiastic! |

Dating apps. I read In Cosmopolitan online what the best free dating apps were and joined up.
Put a few photos on there which weren’t the typical ones - bloke standing on a riverbank holding a fish or bloke standing next to a hired Ferrari and wrote a couple of paragraphs for a profile.
You can’t really know which is best because it’s down to how many users are in your area, so give a few of them a try. |

That’s a fair conclusion, from what women on there have told me the weirdo quotient is quite high. But there are some gems too.
On one of the apps you’re supposed to answer random questions, one of them was “What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever done?”
Rather than tell the complete truth I thought I’d go in gently with “Visited a swingers club” and it was like I’d met the Queen Mother and flopped my knob out instead of a handshake.
However some reactions were ok and some good conversations came out of it  |

It's far easier to meet people while out, you know if you are attracted to them as they are right in front of you, a few drinks and some dirty dancing is a great way to build up lots of sexual tension for the after party!! |

I am absolutely clueless with this kind of stuff and dating sites scare the crap out of me lol. J randomly added me on Snap - it so happens that we knew some of the same people and since I was single I was quite enjoying just chatting to new people. Except our conversations eventually turned quite sexy,and then we ended up hooking up and haven't looked back since. When we discovered we were both into swinging and a bit of kink, it was like a dream come true and we eventually made our couples profile here. So I guess what I'm trying to say is just go with the flow abs get to know new people as you come across them, and just see what happens

I go out to bars and pubs and chat to real people. It actually still works in the same way as it used to work.
In fact even people who have no interest in taking anything further tend to be more pleasant and more polite when talking to you face to face than is the case when chatting online and they can hide behind their computers |

I've seriously had more joy on Facebook dating than Fab... there's too many fake profiles on here, the real few that I have met should be done by trading standards for very out of date pics, or there seems to be drama involved (I avoid couples... long story).
I have no prob pulling in a pub either..just usually they want more than casual sex and I don't lead people on.
Tinder used to be ok but now gone too mainstream and majority of female profiles begin... "not after ONS of FWB".... yawn

Used to be very social so always dropped on. Just came out of a 12 year relationship. Work away through the week and have kids as much as poss on a weekend. Alot to explain and puts alot of people off. Im a genuine guy just getting back into things but grt accused of cheating ect ect due to not having many photos certain time frames ect. Will come with time and iv had some success. Any tips how to put my situation across without being dramatic or coming accross suspicious? |

Think im too honest and undersell myself. Rather that than be a letdown but seen this is quite a reoccurring theme. Dont get why people overhype themselves up. Whrn everyones having a good time surely thats the bigger turn on |

The last time I was in the pub, a man with a group of aquaintences said " Your boobs are massive" (after staring on and off for a while) I think this was his attempt at a chat-up line
