This concept of someone being treated like a lady where the guy is expected to pickup the tab for drinks and a meal, taxi... is out of kilter with the concept of equality between the sexes.
Unless,harking back to a thread last week about women paying less for entry to swingers clubs than men and, one reason given for this being that women, compared to men still don't get equal pay for comparative jobs; just maybe, men get paid more because some ladies expect the gentleman to pay for them? Who knows?
I'm with you on the other points though OP. |

I find the best way to save any misunderstanding regarding the payment in restaurants is for the guy to hand over his wallet before entering and I'll happily give him it back as we are leaving to have sex in the back of his Transit.
Obviously, his van must be parked opposite an ATM for any further funds required for unusual sexual requests.

I gotta admit accommodation standards didn't matter to me when I was younger but now do - a houseshare, no heating, no clean bedding, dirty bathroom, things that wouldn't have phased me before are now a putoff. Couldn't care less about being wined&dined, drink&chat sure but the formalities of dinner, I hate all that with someone I don't know.
However! If you can offer me tea & a snack after coitus you are an absolute legend! Why do people send their fuckmates back out into the world without replenishing them, there should be a law against it!

As someone who is very very close to turning 50 I have to disagree. I have no interest in being wined and dined by anyone I've met off here I pay my own way and if I wanted to be wined and dined I'd join a dating app.
I like sex in my bed I also like it outdoors and car sex can be great fun as well. Not on a first play meet though I keep that for those I know.
I don't expect to be treated like a lady I do expect to be treated with respect,the same respect I give the person I meet. Anything less I won't tolerate. |
