I'm a good 55 miles to the sea as the crow flies, but fuck me if there isn't a flock of flying rats hanging out round my house at the moment. What's going on here guys?

East Sussex

Fewer people on Hastings seafront eating chips, they've migrated inland to stalk unwitting Greggs customers

I live in the edge of Hastings and never see any but then I am on the marsh lands and I see a lot of marsh harriers so I assume they keep them away.

I work in a seaside town and there’s not a single gull on our roofs.

That’s a different story though

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea

Gulls are incredible. You should be proud to be able to share their antics.

Yes! Used to live on a street where many houses had seagull nests on the roofs. Nesting season was intense! Fledglings mixing with urban foxes' prowl was a "fun" happening in the middle of the night. Quite impressive though to see the whole flock responding to defend/repel.
