OK it's time I got another phone, had mine about 4 years now and it's acting a bit weird, I think the software update last week fucked it up
Any recommendations for a smart phone under £200 thank you kindly |

The Samsung Galaxy A range are the affordable line for Samsung. They’re really good too from my experience of friends and family using them (7-8 people).
You will find one £200. If you’re not needing loads of power (which majority of us aren’t needing) they work just fine.
Look at the reviews of them before you decide.

Motorola G series are good and are pretty much stock android without all the bloatware that Samsung (for example) like to add. They have good features too.
My last 3 phones over the last 12 years have all been Motorola. My current one is coming up to 3 years old. |

I've been watching YouTube reviews and they do mention Motorola |

if you like android prob the best brand new phone currently you can get for 200 pounds is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 ...
otherwise maybe some other really popular ones new are Nokia G50 I think its called , around £160 pounds
If you dont mind 2nd hand and shop around online you maybe able to pock up a refurb iPhone 8/ X for 200 pounds , though you have to question how long apple will support it for ...
Guess it really depends what your phone to actually do ... for fab burner play phone where I just want to use mostly calls/texts and whats app ... I picked up a dirt cheap Nokia C01 for like 80 pounds on Argos .. does the trick .. |

"Factory reset it op. Might be good for a while until next year sales."
It started flickering and acting weird after a software update, I think they must sent a virus with it to make you buy another one |

The xiaomi 11 Pro is still quite dear, the 10 is around 150 and to be honest there isn't much difference between the two |

Ask friends, family and work colleagues if they're due to renew a contract and see if they fancy selling their old handset.
They won't have to mess about with idiots on fleabay/twatbook, or get shafted on the trade in price from the suppliers- and you should get a new handset you can look at in person for a fraction of the new cost.
I have no need to be in the 'must have the latest tech' club, so i've not bought a new one for over 20 years.
A well cared for 2 year old phone should be good for another two years easily |

I’m the same but if I was to use any other phone it would be a high end Galaxy or Note , some of my best street photography was done on a Galaxy |

Second hand. For £200 you got to decide what’s important and what isn’t. It’s not a lot of money for a phone. If you buy new for £200 in three months you’ll be frustrated how slow and problematic it is. Android is only any good when you go very high spec and quality hardware because it’s a piece of shit crappy O/S |
