Starting to get a complex

Hi all I've been on this site for a while now trying to make friends and potentially meet someone for a social or more now I'm an easy going guy and always polite and courteous, I'm also pretty open minded and can also accept that I may not be everyone's cup of tea, we all have different tastes. I also understand that the ladies here get a fair few messages some of which I know from my ex partner who was also on here can be very rude and obnoxious, but even when I send a polite message trying to start a conversation it just gets ignored every time it's getting to the point that I'm planning on giving up on the site. If anyone can give me any pointers on what I may be doing wrong please let me know |

It's fab and there's no point in saying other wise but it's a jungle, you're not the first or certainly won't be the last to send messages here and not get a reply, the main thing is that you don't let not getting a reply bother you one little bit ,that's fierce important , if a person wants to reply they will , if they don't they won't , l have it written in my on my updated status , never chase anyone ,the ratio here is unbalanced anyway but it's so important not to take things seriously here , enjoy yourself here don't let things like not getting a reply worry you or take the fun out of it for you . |

Negative profiles don't really encourage people to get in touch.
What they look for is photos that attract and generate interest and profile text that tells them about someone and gives a clear idea of what they're looking for.
If those aren't good enough then any message content is potentially irrelevant as most will view a profile before opening a message.

Not really great advice for someone who wants to stay single though.
It's perfectly possible to be a successful single male on here. It just takes time, effort, awareness of how best to portray yourself and interact with others and using the site tools as best you can to make life on here as easy as possible.
Many do.

This is good advice. If I click on a ladies profile, and there's loads of do's and dont's in the team today, or there's vast swathes of text about what they think about men, it's not going to worth my time, and spool past. Old adage; clubs. Go and meet and get known  |

Don't take it personally I'm sure it's often not a case of being ignored! Just the sheer volume of messages women get! Clubs or group pub socials are a good way to meet hang on in there and good luck x |

Fred Flintstone had a club I think ... not the Hacienda .... a long club with a bobble on the end.
Men can wave the club in the air and grunt and things.

Do you read their profile first and pick something from it to start a conversation?
Also think about the timing of your message, if you're messaging when people are most likely to be busy they might not see yours between the other ones.

i do make a point of reading profiles yes i like to try and make sure that i am someone they may be looking for as for timing im not sure how im going to be able to do that but i do bare it in mind that they may be busy or may be over run |

Oh ok as far as I knew there where only human females on here guess I need to get with the times huh? As for the username there's not much I can do about that now that it's already set |
