Anyone think its worth going walk in centre. Can't get doctors appointment. Feel like I been hit by a truck. My throat is killing and have white spots at back my tongue. But. . I have no tonsils. .

in the night garden

Were your tonsils there yesterday?

Or were they removed in the past?

If the answer is the former I think you have been a victim of black market organ theft xxx

Just FYI, there are 2 sets of tonsils.

I've had the 'normal' set out, but last year was diagnosed with lingual tonsillitis- that's the second set, on 3 occasions.

Go get it checked out just in case- they may give you some great throat numbing spray for the pain.

Good luck!

Sheffield

When they take your tonsils out they can't remove every scrap so it is still possible (though rare) to get tonsilitis.

I had this last week, I felt so rough, never ate for a week, even if I fancied it and could actually swallow it, it made me feel sick afterwards. Lozenges didn't really help, I can't gargle, but warm salt water will help, hope youi feel better soon x

Hot drinks as hot as you can bear help with sore throats.

And ginger tea (1cm of fresh ginger sliced then steeped in hot water, you can add honey and a slice of lemon or orange) helps stop coughs, especially tickly ones.
