How far is everyone will to travel for a meet?

I do a lot of traveling with my job so I’d happily drive the length of the uk for the right person.

I think I'd probably travel a fair bit for the right person - which I would be unlikely to discover without chatting to them for awhile

Anything spir of the moment though I would say not much more than an hour. I do however live about an hour or so from central London so it's not like there is a small area to cover.

I'd travel a long way for the right person. Obviously got to have video called or something before hand. Don't want to be catfished or anything

For the right person we'd travel, we've travelled just over a hour away before and would maybe consider further depends on the connection.

It would definitely need that initial connection of course. But I love the anticipation all that excitement in your way to meet new people/person. I like that bit just as much as the meet itself

No more than an hour. If someone lived further I'd expect them to meet me halfway. If they don't agree we won't be meeting.

I've found that distance adds to expectation and not in the way that most describe it.

I've driven 3 hours each way to a meet and their attitude was if I'd done it once I should do it again and again.

Very good point, never thought of it like that!

If you “travel a lot for work” then you technically aren’t travelling for a meet… you are travelling for work. A meet that happens to be in a location you are travelling to (for work) is an opportunistic by-product of that.

Completely different scenarion to someone who lives and works in London, but then travels to Scotland with the sole intention of meeting someone for sex, then returning home.

I only ment it in the sense that I’m use to traveling. I’m yet to have a meet in a place I’m working. I’ve managed to keep business away from pleasure for now…

I went to Gothernberg once to meet an internet friend. I didn't deem it excessive after a 3 year friendship, and I treasure that trip. Would I do that for the average meet, absolutely not. My general rule of thumb is can I get there and home in an evening if I needed to.

I make a point of local.

But and there was a but... I traveled for 45 minutes on promises of one thing and another from this guy.

It was not about the 45 minutes but more about what accumulates within the time that I put in... traffic delays frustration listening to a sat nav only to find that I visited a person who's hygiene was shall we say not to my standards.

Only to take another 45 minutes in traffic that had a worse delay returning home that turned into a 75 minute return journey..

Accumulated time lost, stressed and deflated.

Local is best..

Cash crisis prevails.

Gateway to the Beacons

In the past I’ve gone to Great Yarmouth 266 miles from me, Nottingham 150 miles and Bournemouth 120

All three I had been talking to for quite sometime online and phone etc.

When I was in my twenties I drove from London to Manchester for a meet -- based solely on the size of her boobs!

Unfortunately she started her period when I was just north of Birmingham -- and, for her, that meant sex was off the table

That was before I had the Internet though -- I'd met her from one of those message carousel chatlines that used to be a thing.

Nowadays I'm reluctant to travel more than twenty minutes.

I’m in Liverpool and I’ve travelled to Devon and to Fife for a meet. I arranged them around other things though. Both meets would have been worth travelling for that alone though.

It depends on the connection I form with a person. Not purely on a sexual level because there might not be chemistry in person but do I like this person? Could I spend a day with them? I'd happily travel to anywhere in the UK if a good enough friendship has been formed.

If I was travelling I'd probably want to combine it with travelling to a local club and meeting someone before or after aswell. But theres so many local guys, I tend not to tall much to people who are far away.

In the past Ive been willing to travel a fair bit.

Nowadays, probably 2 hours at the most, depending on the person/ people.

Dubai & Nottingham

I travel a lot for work but find that means I’m

less likely to want to travel far when not working, but also local meets are normally bad ideas. I guess 30-60mins is best for a fab meet. But there’s a few people on here I would travel any distance for.

Oxford

I've travelled into Oxford for my two meetings so far, which is a journey of 4 miles but at least 400 years back in time...

Being so close to such a tourist hot spot definitely makes it easier to arrange meetings, though I wonder, at a low ebb of self-esteem, if they've come to see me or the dreaming spires.
