When it's Christmas. Usually around the 20th when hubby is home and brings his mum from the UK. She is the designated tree decorated, but it's a bit like getting a toddler to do it ( she's petite) and when she goes to bed I usually fix things.

According to tradition it should be going up today, beginning of advent, and come down on twelfth night so that includes epiphany which is on 6th Jan.

No. I barely speak to my neighbours now. They'll probably be nicked anyway. I'd like spread a little cheer this year with some colour.

I'm not putting a tree up this year. Just can't be arsed with moving all the furniture around and living in cramped conditions to fit it in. I'll put some lights up and a couple of garlands, and be very happy with those. But definitely not until next weekend at the very earliest.

I did mine yesterday.

My niece came round to help me, we put on Christmas films and music, had hot chocolate with marshmallows (and baileys in mine ), and we baked some mince pies and ate them still warm from the oven with ice cream… so I’m currently feeling quite christmassy, warm and fuzzy
