Swinger clubs will be banned from Coventry as part of a new zero tolerance crackdown by LG officials..
There are none registered at the moment and by the look of it if any one was planning a business venture in the city, they now better look elsewhere.
It's not the end of the world as there are currently quality clubs in the Midlands catering for all tastes but it intrigues me as to why a zero tolerance ban?.. instead of judging each submitted business plan on their merits...

"A zero tolerance on what?
It's hardly promoting sexploitation
Though I don't mind being exploited on occasion "
Accepting any submitted business application for any kind of adult club venue.. |

Someone must have put in a very specific Freedom of Information Act request to get that sort of information. |

Just read the article on the Coventry Telegraph wesbite (no Coventry Telegraph? No comment. )
What they are actually referring to are sexual 'entertainment' clubs i.e. lap dancing/pole dancing venues (one specific one is mentioned in the article) - not Swingers Clubs.
Swingers Clubs do not offer sexual 'entertainment'. If they did, they would be far more difficult to get licensed.

It's worth reading the whole article. A web search will find it no bother.
The fact it's in response to a public consultation is telling
"A 12-week public consultation called by Phil Townshend, cabinet member for community safety and equalities, attracted more than 500 responses.
Council officers say 53 per cent of people strongly agreed Coventry should have a nil policy, while 30 per cent disagreed, believing there should be some provision for sexual entertainment. The rest had no strong view."

"So as long as you're not entertained (or seen to be enjoying yourself) in a swingers club, then you should be ok "
Chain em all up in the dungeon and feed 'em gruel when the inspection comes round, and they'll be fine
