In most supermarkets there's a cctv camera watching every manned till as well. So if you don't want your photo taking, then you have to stop doing any shopping at all. |

CCTV is a deterrent and an aid for suspicious activity. Yes recoding is held for a period but why the need to take a camera image of your face when you're paying.
If there's CCTV in stores and at manned tills, then the same should apply at self service without need for directly capture your face.
After the area around Kings Cross were dubiously found to be using facial recognition I am put off by any need for it. |
