Breaking Bad is honestly TV perfection. I will be surprised if I watch another show in my life that I enjoy more than BB. I was down for weeks afterwards whenever the show finished. The writing and the acting was consistently high quality for all 5 seasons and they nailed the ending too, which many shows have butchered... cough GOT, cough Dexter.
Science bitch! |

Bergerac, because I knew all the locations including various motor yachts they used. Often his famous car would turn a post edited corner only to miraculously find itself somewhere in another completely different part of the island!
When the series started, John Nettles was lodging very near our family home and in an early episode a villain was mentioneded as living in a bungalow in that area. This was obviously a subtly scripted 'in joke' but was widely enjoyed by those in the know.
The background Jersey police radio 'chit chat' was, to trained ears, invariably a repeated recording of London Fire Brigade RT traffic.
Launched a few actors and also kept plenty of 'old has beens' in occasional work. |

To many of them go on too long and ruin it. Dexter is a perfect example of this.
Ones I loved for the whole run
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
Rome
Father Ted
The Sopranos
Fawlty Towers
Gavin And Stacy

"Detectorists. It is sublime. Much the same can be said of Early Doors "
And from the other side of the pond...
Married with Children!
it had it all, crass humour, silliness, sarcasm, Christina Applegate, Katey Sagal and my TV hero- Al Bundy!
Just when you thought it couldn't be equalled- they gave us
THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN!
John Lithgow and exquisite Kristen Johnston on the same show!
As if that wasn't good enough, we then got more of the lovely Miss Sagal in...
Futurama!
Probably the funniest and most memeable animated series ever
The septics churn out some shite under the guise of comedy- but occasionally give us perfectly formed gems like these |

The Sopranos you need to watch it at least twice. There's a few bits I guarantee you missed first time around. Like a reflection of Big Puss in a Mirror even though he had been "whacked" a season before!
When you finish it you then need yo watch Talking Sopranos podcasts, there's a podcast for each episode of the show, the podcasts are hosted by the actors who played Christopher and Bobby. |

The first season was so slow burning wasn't it? It gets better around 3rd! |
