I bought a bottle of Merlot for about 12quid a few week ago from a wine shop.

A believer of getting what you pay for, but also - drink what YOU like.
The £12 bottle was absolutely gorgeous. The best drink I drank that night. Every now and again it’s nice to treat yourself to something extravagant with food and drink. After all, your putting it into your body. |

I can't remember the last time I bought a bottle of wine from the supermarket as I rarely drink at home. Happy to buy bottles of wine when out for a meal or for drinks. |

A mate of mine introduced me to a fantastic bottle of red from Aldi, price - £3.99.
Now my mate is a bit of a wine buff & very rarely does cheap shit but he had to say it was great for that price and he was absolutely spot on. |

The Duty on wine is the same whatever the cost of the wine is. £2.23. So your wine cost £1.76. If you pay £5.99 a bottle your wine is double the quality. |

I like red wine and the bottom line is you have to pay a bit more for a good one. Unlike white wine, the cheap red ones are quite vile. A cheap white one that's quite cold can be drinkable, a red one is a definite no. |
