... for my ruined casserole dish! :grrrrrr:

Joking aside, I mis-judged the amount of residual liquid in the pan, when it was nearly all fat that came out of the belly pork.

Not smart when the dish has a high sugar content, resulting in a solid mass of burnt sugar that is now firmly stuck to the pan.

I still managed to get 6 portions of pork out of it, so not all is wasted.

Boiling the pan as I type with water in the hope to re-dissolve the burnt mass eventually.

Not binning the pan as it is worth the effort to make it good again.

Nevermind.

Damn that residual liquid, it's enough to make me want to gag. Hang on, I'm getting a weird sense of deja vu....!

Truro

Our dog can clean an oven dish so that it looks like it's been sand blasted.

No wonder his bollocks shine like light bulbs

Oh yeah, I forgot about that tip!

Shall add a tin to the pan now.

Thanks for the reminder!

With the help of a stainless steel scouring pan and some elbow grease, the pan has been saved and now cleaned, ready for its next abuse, phew!
